How often does BDC practice?

BDC practices are every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15 P.M. till 8:15 P.M. There are occasional practices on Saturdays, as well as others scheduled during the week. There might also be longer practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays depending on how busy we are in the season.

How big of a team is BDC normally?

BDC normally consists of around 20 dancers ranging from freshmen to seniors! There is no set number taken from each grade; it's a mix of dancers from Baylor’s student body.

Where does BDC practice, and how often does BDC perform?

BDC holds bi-weekly practices in the third-floor dance studio of Marrs McLean Gym, room 316. During the school year, BDC will do multiple performances! Our officers start off the year performing at Baylor’s After Dark talent show, and shortly after that, our entire team performs in the Baylor Homecoming Parade and the welcoming show at the Hurd Welcome Center! BDC normally travels to one competition in the spring. Starting in 2026, we as a team will get to travel to Florida for NDA! The final BDC performance is our Spring Showcase, which will occur around late April or early May.

Does BDC have a dress code?

BDC does not have a direct dress code (other than normal dance, athletic clothes)! However, depending on what we’re planning to cover in practice, the team might wear all black for practice, or everyone would be wearing a matching practice top with similar bottoms!
